What's All This About Kissing? Layout Posterbadass: Asagi Shougo Layout Inspiration: I fell in love with Shougo the first time I saw the X movie. Now he's in Reservoir Chronicle (a.k.a. Tsubasa) kicking major ass, and the MOMENT I saw him posing like that... *drool* The scans are courtesy of the wonderful Rachel. Layout Lyrics: The "Underdog" theme song. If you never saw Underdog, go rent it, because it was a hell of a fun cartoon.

So I've gotten in the habit of baking four times a week (possibly more, I haven't counted). Mostly it's sandwich bread, but last night it was foccacia, and today it was popovers from scratch and soda bread from a mix.
I gotta say, whoever came up with the brilliant idea to put raisins and caraway seeds in soda bread needs to be SHOT. I mean, there's a time and place for raisins, but caraway seeds look like rat poop and taste like concentrated ass. I put the mix through the strainer to try and get them all out, but a few went through and UGH YUCK. Those things are NASTY.
So, right, I get pointed at this by a certain someone (*coughHERcough*).
Interesting thing #1: According to a friend of mine, there's a term for straight guys who act stereotypically gay--as in, they have good taste in music, can dress themselves, and are not troglodytes. "Metrosexual". No, I don't know why.
Interesting thing #2: My dad could be on this show as one of the experts if he took off his wedding ring and didn't make any references to his kids.
Either this points to a nosedive in the opinion the entertainment industry would like us to have of straight men, or daddy's been soaking up all my Aura of Queer.
PREEEEZE KEEEEES KEEEES...
Realised something really weird a little while ago: I posted my first stand-alone ficbit to CLAMPesque a year ago Sunday. I've been an active author in one fandom for almost a year, and I've still got ideas, and stuff to finish (yes, anonymous referrer person, I'm looking at YOU), and stuff to get started on, and I still really really really want to know how the manga ends.
Can't wait to see what the next year will be like. ^^
Also, I have scans of Reservoir Chronicle chapter six. Shougo has a teeny fanboy and everything. On top of the fact that CLAMP was, apparently, talking about a horror movie called "THE EYE" on their blog (no, seriously)... I have to move to Japan and go live in their backyard now.
Also I had a really weird dream about someone I dislike immensely dropping dead before my eyes, and people pointing and laughing before maneuvering their way around the corpse like nothing had happened. In the hallway of the all-girls school I was at for seven years. Either this means (as someone else I talked to interpreted it) that I'm going to have a sudden burst of good fortune, or that Battle Royale is going to sneak up on me in the middle of the night and lay its eggs in my intestines.
it's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights...
So, I have a second job lined up, and I'm going to be a puppeteer.
Okay, given, it's a volunteer job; the Mental Health Association in my county runs a series of puppet shows on mental wellness for kids, and they need people to learn how to operate the puppets, memorise scripts, and then run around putting on performances. The first "information night" is in July, but the woman I talked to said that the person in charge of the project would probably get in touch with me before then and fill me in on some more details.
speed of lightning! roar of thunder!
I have now, officially, had that song stuck in my head all week.
On the plus side, I'm now inspired to go out, get a plain white t-shirt, and write "SOOPERHERO" in big sparkly letters across the front. XD (I AM Captain Short-Bus-Special!)
inspiration = bitch
Ow. The backstory I'd been coming up with for Shougo came back to me today so fast that I actually got a headache. I'm going to take time to give it some attention tomorrow (don't have work, yay!); he may end up with a part in the X/Saiyuki fic I'm doing, just because.
...yes, X/Saiyuki. It's for a challenge.
It's weird; sometimes inspiration is a steady trickle--something I work through, and fiddle with, and poke and prod at so that the original idea ends up reshaped--and sometimes it just explodes, raw and bloody and fully formed and capable of leaving deep tooth marks on my brain.
....*eyes iTunes* And since it pulled one of the Silent Hill remixes from overclocked.org as I typed that, it's time to put the mp3s away and go to bed.
mmmheeheehee Friday: Ate my first raw oyster. Midnight, Saturday: Got hold of Order of the Phoenix. Four PM, Saturday: Finished Order of the Phoenix. Monday: Finished season one of Saiyuki. Noon Today: Found out Shougo was in Reservoir Chronicle. Two PM Today: Got Reservoir Chronicle scans from Rachel via Kim. Seven PM Today: Finished coding the layout.
All in all, not bad! XD
And, oh, CLAMP. CLAMP, I love you. I can forgive you anything for this. I don't care if he's one of the bad guys, I love him to little bitty pieces. Especially because the moment I recuperated from my braingasm, I noticed that, well, he seems to be doing this "I am ZORRO!" cutie wannabe-badass superhero thing.
Edit: Well. According to what I've read about Chapter Six, he's actually a good guy. And likely to be in Chapter Seven. I am officially 0wnz0red by this manga.
