watch your mouth!

Daniel Handler writes the way I think.
A little darker, definitely, but his literary voiceand my regular mental voice sound almost exactly alike.
It's disconcerting, but utterly delicious. I'm going to have a very hard time putting this book down to get anything done...

Looks like things are satisfactorily tweaked here... except the tables aren't aligned perfectly, but Oh Well. I know people who know enough HTML to tell me what I'm doing wrong. ^_^ And who can help me with the photoshopping when I finish the Pretty Little Angel Eyes layout image...
Okay, here's most of the stuff I wanted to put in my old livejournal but didn't... Ladies and gentlemen, Lisa's creative progress! *gasp*
The novel. A few non-sequential scenes got written this past week; I'm rather happy with them. I think, though, that what I need to do is sit down and write out the entire plot arc. I'm giving myself three hours to do that on Wednesday; those of you who know me, don't expect me online between the hours of two and five o'clock. ^_~
Other originals. My head's been invaded by a short-story idea, which I'll see if I can carry through. It'd be called "The Sense", and it was inspired by something that happened to me on the Metro last week. (K-Tan knows what this is, btw...)
CafePress. As some of you know, I've been trying to get together a little store on CafePress so I can make a few bucks (emphasis on "few"). I finally have six design ideas I can use, and as soon as they're drawn out I'll go scan them and get the store set up.
Fanfic progress. Well, I let Vee look at the prologue to "Tabula Rasa", and she has now prodded me into working on it again. Since she's agreed to beta for me, and I heart constructive criticism, I'll write up and code a chunk of it post haste. It's grown from seven to fourteen projected parts and will now probably encompass the events of the Promised Day, with a whole bunch of character death, Judeo-Christian symbolism, and brain eaty along the way. (But, because I am one of those people who Has To Be Different, romance and weeping will be kept to an absolute minimum--and Yuzuriha will get some decent airtime. I adore Yuzu. She's got potential.)
Art progress. I'm experimenting with CLAMP style--well, Apapa style, really, as my references are mostly Rayearth, Tokyo Babylon, and X. Current project in that style is a series of portraits of my friends as Seals and Angels, each with a symbol of some kind and each done in varying shades of the same colour. Other stuff I'm doing at the moment: portraits of the Zodiac Scouts from my old-and-badly-in-need-of-working-on parody, and pictures of a friend's transvestite RP character, Kohl.
Wheehoo. And ten days to my birthday!

New blog!! Neeew bloooog!! Pretty Little Angel Eyes is now open for business, sorta.
And I'm now making the source image for the new layout... if I can do so, I want this to be ALL fanart.
Wheeeee!
