Went to Rocky Horror last night. Despite being a little floaty due to Midol, I had a hell of a good time--I think our group knew more callbacks than anyone else there.
And, damn, somebody (whose name I won't mention) looks sexy in vinyl pants.
Two things: First of all, making seniors sign about eight hundred pages of paperwork is a nasty thing, and the IRS needs a slap to the head.
Second of all, although anyone who knows me knows that I hate vampires and don't buy into the whole gothy sexuality and aaaaaaaaangst, children-of-the-night crap... I'm beginning to rediscover how very sexy the whole Victorian frock-coat-cravat-and-high-boots bit can be.
Not that I wouldn't stake Lestat and dance on his ashes if I met him, mind. Whiny bitch.
Well, you know what. I got hit by an idea earlier tonight, and I think I really like it.
So sometimes you'll have one of those days where it seems like everyone is talking like something out of a bad shoujo manga, or an eighties teen movie, or an old icky video game. It just sort of happens, at random, and often when you may have problems of your own that aren't really crushingly serious and are, in fact, rather happy with where you are and where you're going.
So respond to this by declaring a Melodrama-Free Week.
It's exactly what it sounds like. No melodrama from other people, and a conscious effort on one's own part not to inflict any melodrama on others.
You know it's going to be a very long day when you find yourself wanting to sing "Kick in the Ass" at eleven in the morning. Loudly.
Anyone out there remember when there were a lot of really good free e-greeting-card sites? Somebody needs to set one up to deliver free e-smackdown. It'd be in varying degrees, of course--the lowest would be something like an e-mild glare, and the highest would be an e-screaming fit of flailing histrionics. The screaming fit you'd have to pay for--about $5, since it'd be damn dramatic--and you'd also have to pay for lesser yet still fairly nasty things like an e-derrierre kicking, e-cup of coffee in the lap, and e-backhand (the e-bitchslap, however, is free).
The bandwidth would get burned like a crow on the sidewalk in July, but I think it's a fairly worthwhile idea.
...I should probably have some tea before I start trying to eat something small and furry.
Although my Sanzou impression is probably flawless at the moment.
Anyway. My determination to make an idol-singer-Shuuichi-coat is redoubled now that I've seen the end of Gravi--man, I love Shuuichi. I love that whole damn cast (except for Aizawa and *SPOILER HERE*). There isn't a single character who doesn't get some kind of really interesting twist... okay, maybe Noriko, but only because we don't see her by herself.
...aw, man. I had some good cranky going and then I started thinking about things I like and it all went downhill. Which is probably your fault, as usual.
(Slightly random: when I got up this morning, I had a brief moment of believing it was already December. I don't know why I felt that way--maybe it was the fact that the space heater was on and the light coming in the windows was so grey. It just sort of... seemed to be December suddenly. Huh.)
